Shock-Block Industrial GFCI Shock Protection Training

Earlier this year Littelfuse launched a new line of three-phase ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) for industrial applications. GFCIs are one of the most effective preventative measures against electrical shock because they are designed to detect ground-fault current and open the circuit before a person is harmed.  The Littelfuse Shock-Block is a personnel protection device for use on 208 V, 480 V, and 600 V loads up to 100 A, and is:

  • Easy to install – the Shock-Block is installed in-line with the load and does not require any modifications in the breaker panel
  • Resistant to nuisance trips – a three-phase GFCI breaker uses a very simplistic trip circuit and is prone to nuisance trips.  The Shock-Block has harmonic filtering and completely models the UL inverse time curve to prevent nuisance trips.
  • Easy to use – the Shock-Block is wall mounted near the load to give better visibility on the equipment’s functionality.
