Connected Components Workbench Introduction
The Connected Components Workbench Intro class is designed to explain the basics of how to be successful with the CCW programming environment. This class starts with an overview of the products which the software configures; such as Micro800 controllers, PanelView 800 displays, and PowerFlex drives. It continues with hands-on programming labs for the Micro810 and Micro850 controllers. No previous experience with programmable controllers or the CCW software is required.

EtherNet/IP Introduction
The EtherNet/IP for Industrial Automation Control Systems class covers the design and troubleshooting of an EtherNet/IP network in a Logix based control system including fundamentals of EtherNet, design of media and infrastructure, capacity calculations and configuration of Stratix switches. The instructor will introduce the concepts of a simple unmanaged star, a Device Level Ring, VLANs, Network Address Translation (NAT), and DHCP. We will discuss the importance of segmenting and demonstrate techniques for troubleshooting an EtherNet/IP network. No experience with EtherNet/IP networking is expected.

EtherNet/IP Foundations
The EtherNet/IP Foundations class covers the design and troubleshooting of an EtherNet/IP network in a Logix based industrial automation control system including; fundamentals of EtherNet, design of media and infrastructure, capacity calculations and configuration of Stratix industrial switches. The student will perform labs in Stratix configuration, network troubleshooting, and DHCP using a Stratix 5700 switch. We will discuss and use techniques for segmenting and troubleshooting an EtherNet/IP network. No experience with EtherNet/IP networking is expected, but some familiarity with Windows, RSLogix 5000 and RSLinx is necessary. All EtherNet/IP Intro material is included in the EtherNet/IP Foundations class.

EtherNet/IP Foundations, $500 (4156045)
EtherNet/IP Advanced
The EtherNet/IP for Industrial Automation Advanced class reviews the design and troubleshooting of an EtherNet/IP network in a Logix based control system with Stratix switches. The student will perform labs configuring and testing Device Level Ring, multiple VLAN’s, VLAN trunking, inter-VLAN routing, CIP Sync (1588 or PTP), and Network Address Translation (NAT). The class will also cover various techniques for troubleshooting an EtherNet/IP network. Attendance in EtherNet/IP for IA Foundations or equivalent is a prerequisite for this Advanced class.

Logix Introduction
The Logix Intro class is geared towards electricians, operators, and maintenance personnel who need a quick overview or brief refresher on the basic components of the ControlLogix and CompactLogix platforms. The class includes RSLinx configuration, controller online activation, programming bit logic, and performing online edits. The class covers the entire Logix platform including both hardware and programming software. No previous Logix experience is required.
Logix Introduction, Free (4156029)
Logix Foundations
This two day class reviews everything from the Logix Intro class and includes advanced Logix topics such as timers, counters, one-shots, and more. In addition, tools such as BOOTP and ControlFlash will be covered. This class will provide a deeper understanding of the Logix platform and Studio 5000 programming software and help those operating or maintaining those machines achieve a deeper understanding. No previous Logix experience is required.

Logix Advanced
The Logix Advanced class is next in the series following Logix Foundations. It focuses on the premier integration of Rockwell devices such as Point I/O, PowerFlex drives, PanelView terminals, Stratix Ethernet/IP switches, and more. Individual lab stations provide hands-on lab time integrating these components with Studio 5000. The class will cover I/O configuration, AOPs and logic associated with the hardware. Advanced features of Studio 5000 and advanced instructions will also be incorporated. The Logix Foundations class, or previous Logix experience is a prerequisite to the Advanced class.

Kinetix Foundations
Kinetix Foundations is targeted to a beginners or intermediate users of motion. This class focuses on Kinetix 5500 drives, VPL motors, and CompactLogix processors. Topics covered include motion module configuration, axes configuration, testing, motion direct commands, basic tuning of axes and programming basic motion instructions such as MSO (servo on), MSF (servo off), MAJ (jog), MAH (home), MAM (move), MAS (stop), and others. Strong familiarity with Studio 5000, but not necessarily with motion, is assumed.
Kinetix Foundations, $500
Kinetix Advanced
Kinetix Advanced is targeted to the intermediate to intermediate or advanced users of motion. This class focuses on Kinetix 5700 drives, VPL motors, and Control/GuardLogix processors. Topics covered include motion module configuration, axes configuration, testing, motion direct commands, advanced tuning techniques, safety over EtherNet, and programming advanced motion instructions such as MAG (gear), MAPC (position cam), MAR (registration), MRP (redefine position), and others. Strong familiarity with Studio 5000, and moderate familiarity with motion, is assumed.
Kinetix Advanced, $500
PLC Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Designed for students with little to no PLC experience, but some relay logic background, this class will teach the basics of connecting to, monitoring, editing and diagnosing MicroLogix, SLC 500, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix PLC’s. Focus will be on finding module and processor faults, as well as the resources needed to understand them. The student will gain experience choosing, configuring and troubleshooting communications to various PLC families.  They will also create, edit and troubleshoot basic ladder logic programs.

PLC Troubleshooting and Maintenance, $1000 (4171213)
PowerFlex 520 Getting Started
This class is for individuals responsible for starting up, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting PowerFlex 520 drives. The class will introduce concepts and techniques that assist in successfully maintaining and troubleshooting a PowerFlex 520 drive. (delete sentence) Instruction includes recognizing PowerFlex 520 hardware, properly wiring the drive, and diagnosing specific faults. Exercises that offer hands-on time with a PowerFlex 520 drive are included.

PowerFlex 750 Getting Started
This one-day class is intended for individuals responsible for starting up, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting PowerFlex 750-Series drives. The class introduces concepts and techniques for successfully maintaining and troubleshooting a PowerFlex 753, or PowerFlex 755 drive. Learn to recognize PowerFlex 750-Series hardware, correctly wire the drive, and diagnose specific faults. Included in this class are exercises for hands-on time with a PowerFlex 750-Series drive.

Virtualization for Industrial Workstations
This class focuses on the fundamentals of creating and using Virtual Machines in an industrial maintenance environment. We will not be covering virtualization of data centers, servers, etc. In order to continue running older software to support older equipment you need to maintain multiple computers with discontinued operating systems. Virtualizing these operating systems allows you to use modern laptops. We will introduce the concepts of virtualization, build a Windows XP machine, configure the VM’s networking and peripherals, install software in the virtual machine and get online with a controller. Some experience with Windows operating systems is expected.

Visualization Introduction
This class will cover the basics of using FactoryTalk View Studio Machine Edition to edit an application for a PanelView Plus 7 terminal. Students will learn how to upload from a PanelView, configure communications with Logix Programmable Controllers, edit displays, download to a PanelView, and back up files. Basic Logix 5000 knowledge is preferred, but not required. No FactoryTalk View Studio experience is required.
Visualization Introduction, Free (4156037)
Visualization Foundations
This class will cover the foundations of using FactoryTalk View Studio Machine Edition to program a PanelView Plus 7 terminal. Students will learn to configure communications with Logix Programmable Controllers, configure project settings, create and edit displays, create tags, browse controller tags, global objects, global connections, trending, data logging, alarms, and animations. Basic Logix 5000 knowledge is preferred but not required. No FactoryTalk View Studio experience is required. All Visualization Intro material is included in the Visualization Foundations class.
